GUILD FOR TEENS PROGRAMS

Inspire a Passion for the Arts

The Denver Ballet Guild promotes arts appreciation, education, social activities, philanthropy, and community involvement through three programs designed for teens. Guild for Teens is a great way to meet and connect with friends from more than 20 metro Denver area middle and high schools.  Guild for Teens programs begin in 6th grade and continue through the senior year of high school.  Students with a parent or guardian who is a member of the Denver Ballet Guild are invited to participate. Les Cygs and Les Dems are open to all interested girls, and Le Bal de Ballet is open to boys and girls by application.

LES CYGNETTES

"Les Cygs" introduces middle school-aged girls to the arts through a variety of fun cultural and social activities, including top-rated plays, musicals, and dance performances as well as mother-daughter and father-daughter parties. Les Cygs is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders from schools throughout Metro Denver.

LES DEMOISELLES

“Les Dems” builds a love of the arts and philanthropy among high school-aged girls.  Les Dems attend dance, theater, and cultural events, participate in volunteer outreach, and enjoy a mother-daughter Fashion Show honoring graduating seniors. Les Dems is open to 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders from any Denver high school, and has been an ongoing Guild for Teens program since 2005.

LE BAL DE BALLET

Le Bal de Ballet honors outstanding high school seniors and their families.  During the year-long program, Debutantes and Young Men of Distinction attend monthly social and community service events. The program culminates in the Presentation and Grand Ball in June, a highlight of the annual social scene in Denver.  Le Bal de Ballet is open to seniors from high schools throughout metro Denver who are nominated and selected for their achievements in academics, athletics, arts, and leadership.

Le Bal de Ballet, the Denver Ballet Guild’s signature fundraising event and a long-standing tradition in Denver, celebrated its 50th Golden Anniversary in 2018.

Honorees are sponsored by current Guild members.  The 2021 Le Bal de Ballet application and sponsor form will be available June 2019.
